Facebook To Allow Profile Sharing
Facebook will be allowing users to transfer their info to other Web sites. The announcement came one day after MySpace had agreed to the same plan in a limited capacity. The site says it will allow the personal profiles on any site that will accept them. Facebook is undoubtedly hoping that the move, with its unique mini-applications, will attract others that are not yet subscribed. It may be several weeks before the ability on both social networking sites becomes available.

I really like how there is this interconnectivity that is slowly forming between the main networking sites—it will definitely make it easier for the end user to migrate their data, but I fear there will be some security implication to this move that will result in the user getting hurt in the end :(

Is this feature realted to that OpenSocial platform.The source site mentions facebook hasn’t joined it,so are they implementing it on their own ,that would seen unnecessary when there is already a platform supported by many.

I think this is a smart move on facebooks part. It will definitely drives more customers their way.
