A few months ago, Panasonic released the amazing Lumix DMC-ZS3 digital camera, and we immediately took notice. After all, a point-and-shoot that features 10.1 megapixels, a 25mm ultra-wide-angle lens, and an astounding 12x optical zoom was certainly something that commanded attention. The camera also boasts a Leica DC Vario-Elmar lens and records high definition 720p video in AVCHD Lite format, at 60 frames per second no less. We were finally able to get our hands on one now that the Lumix ZS3 isn’t constantly sold out everywhere we turn, and we’ve put together a gallery of Panasonic Lumix ZS3 unboxing images to show off the camera itself. Apple recently updated the Mac mini, bringing us a newly redesigned version for 2009. We picked one up, and feature it in this episode of Unboxing Live! We show you everything included in the box, and also give you a look at the device itself, which now features a mini DisplayPort connection, as well as a bunch of USB ports. At WWDC 2009, aside from introducing the world to the iPhone 3G S, Apple also introduced a newly redesigned MacBook Pro. The MacBook Pro 2009 revision does away with the removable battery, but replaces it with a battery that lasts up to 7 hours. Oh, and we mean a real 7 hours, we’ve tested it. Also, the ExpressCard slot has been removed, and in its place we now have an SD card slot. The MacBook Pro will even boot off of an SD card if you tell it to.

At the WWDC 2009 keynote, Apple revealed the new 13-inch MacBook Pro, bringing the aluminum MacBook into the Pro family, and also bringing back FireWire. We were able to get our hands on one of the new MacBook Pro 13-inch models, which also now include an SD card slot, and we’ve got a look at the product here for you in this episode of Unboxing Live!

The Elgato Turbo.264 HD is a hardware video encoding stick that seems to support just about every video format under the sun, and can convert that video for use on various devices, in high definition, much faster than your Mac can do that on it’s own. We open the item up in this episode of Unboxing Live!, and whole-heartedly recommend it to anyone who works with video, or even transcodes video for use on their iPhone or other portable device.

The Griffin SmartTalk Bluetooth headset claims to eliminate background noise, and sometimes more importantly, wind noise. We’ve been playing with the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3 for a few days, and can’t deny how impressed we are. We are finally bringing you our look at the recently-updated Apple iMac early 2009 model in this episode. Not much has changed on the iMac front, although the price has gone down and the screen size has increased from 20-inch to 24-inches for the standard model. You also get the new NVIDIA graphics chipset as well, which results in a nice speed boost in the graphics department. We know you guys have been waiting for it, so here we are with our Nintendo DSi unboxing gallery. In case you haven’t heard, the Nintendo DSi is the company’s follow-up to the standard Nintendo DS. It does away with the GameBoy cartridge slot, so it is thinner, and it also features two camera on the device, one facing the player and one facing away from the player, on the outside of the unit. The cameras open up new gaming possibilities, as does the much expanded storage. The DSi features the DSi Shop, which connects to the Internet in a similar fashion to the Wii Shop, and allows you to download games in exchange for Points. HP isn’t typically known for women’s fashion, but they are definitely turning that perception on its ear with the release of the HP Mini Vivienne Tam edition netbook. If you’ve been wondering what the new “World’s thinnest notebook” looks like, hit up the video above which features the new Dell Adamo. The 0.65-inches thin laptop is the first in Dell’s luxury Adamo line, featuring a 13.4-inch 16:9 display, full-sized backlit keyboard, three USB ports, eSATA, 802.11n, Bluetooth, 2GB RAM, and a 128GB SSD drive, all housed in beautiful machined aluminum. We were able to spend some quality time with the latest dual slider Windows Mobile smartphone from AT&T, that being the Pantech Matrix Pro. If you are unfamiliar with dual slider phones, what this means is that if you slide the phone vertically, you get a number pad—but if you turn it horizontally and slide up, you get a QWERTY keyboard. Very slick. The Pantech Matrix Pro runs Windows Mobile 6.1, and is Video Share capable, which means you can beam video to and from the phone to other handsets, a feature that we think is the hotness, along with turn-by-turn navigation via aGPS. We will be doing more with the Matrix Pro, but for now, we’ve put together a nice Pantech Matrix Pro unboxing gallery, featuring 31 images of the new smartphone.

Continuing our look at pocket HD camcorders, we were able to get our hands on a new Kodak Zi6 Pocket Video Camera, which shoots in 720p high definition, at a full 60 frames per second. In case you were wondering, that’s unique for ultra-portable HD camcorders. There isn’t much storage space on-board, but that is rectified by the SD card slot, which supports up for a 32 GB SD card. The Kodak Zi6 also includes an SD AV cable, as well as an HD cable, allowing you to plug the camera directly into an HDTV to view the content on it. It takes two AA batteries, and they throw in two rechargeable AAs, as well a charger. We’ve taken a bunch of images of the device, which you can find in our Kodak Zi6 gallery. When it comes to the handheld camcorder market, there are a few key players. Of course, there are the Flip cameras that everyone knows and loves, but more recently these cameras have started to sport high definition recording features. While the Flip Mino HD is out there, we’ve also got the Kodak Zi6, as well as the Creative Vado HD. In this particular unboxing gallery, we give you a closer look at the Creative Vado HD. As you’ll see, aside from the camera, which has an integrated USB stick for transferring videos to your computer, it also includes a rubber case, and even a USB extender cable, which is a very welcome addition. So, by now you know we are big fans of the Beats by Dr. Dre headphones, as we’ve talked about them quite extensively. The over-the-ear cans are just very good, and we also appreciate the look. Up next for the line, though, are the Beats Tour edition. The difference? While the Beats Studio headphones went over the ear, the Beats Tour headphones are actually earbuds, meant to go in your ear (obviously.) We’re in the midst of getting our T-Mobile G1 reviewed, but in the meantime, we wanted to show off the looks and unboxing experience of the phone. Obviously, the G1 is the first publicly available phone that is based on the Google Android platform, and if you are on T-Mobile, we think it’s the phone to have. This is obviously T-Mobile’s answer to the iPhone, and it’s good to see that other companies are trying to innovate and catch up, with the aim of putting out great phones. With Android, the G1 software is even more open than that of the iPhone OS. We’ll get into all that in our review of the phone, but for now enjoy the shots in our T-Mobile G1 unboxing gallery.

We just received one of the new Disney Pixar Ultimate Control Wall-E remote controlled robots, and we just had to share. If you’ve been looking for a Wall-E robot toy that mimics the actions of Wall-E from the movie, this is it. It features movie-like movement, the original character voice, and familiar sound effects. As soon as you turn him on, Wall-E comes to life, introduces himself, and then follows your commands. You can have him respond specifically to the remote control, which controls movement of his head, arms, hands, wrists, and body, as well as expressions and phrases. Or, you can have him go off and do his own thing in exploration mode. He will look around, stop and make noises, etc. Lastly, you can put him in follow mode, where he will follow in the general direction of any noises that his internal mic picks up. That can be your voice, clapping, or any other audible sound. All movie-like robotic movement and integrated character animation is controlled by a next-generation, advanced micro processor to generate variable speeds integrated with smart-check position action and movement.

Wall-E has sleep and automatic shut-off modes, so no worries on leaving him on and draining the battery. The robot stands a little over 16” tall, and includes a 7.2V rechargeable battery, along with charger. The included remote requires 3 AA batteries. We can’t say enough about the Ultimate Control Wall-E robot, look for him to appear in our 2008 Holiday Gift Guide. With Gears of War 2 getting ready to drop tomorrow, bringing Submergence Day to all fans of the franchise, Microsoft is also releasing a Gears of War 2 Limited Edition Zune. You might remember that they did something similar with the original Zune to coincide with the release of Halo 3. With the GOW2 Zune, Microsoft has pre-loaded a bunch of Gears content on the device itself. A bunch of images of art, the entire Gears of War soundtrack, along with quite a few pieces of video content related to both Gears of War and Gears of War 2.

This time, we give the MacBook Pro its due, splaying it out for your enjoyment. The newly-redesigned MacBook Pro features an iMac-ish aluminum and glass look to it, including the black bezel around the screen. Gone are the days of the matte finish as well, as the new MacBook Pro is only available in a glossy display finish. The trackpad is now glass, although it strangely doesn’t feel like it, but we guess that’s okay. You’ll see more in the video, but for now, enjoy our MacBook Pro 2008 unboxing gallery.
